Yes. While a small selection of works may be available immediately, most Sidetrack pieces are individually made to order. This enables variations, including choice of metals, stones, and dimensions, so the final piece aligns with your preferences.

Yes. The commission process is a collaborative one, where your ideas and intentions are interpreted through the lens of the designer’s practice. This may involve discussions, visual references, sketches or models. Once the design is resolved, it is formally quoted and approved before proceeding to production.

After contacting us with the item code or your design idea, we will confirm whether the piece is in stock or will be made for you. We will discuss a timeframe (typically 2 to 6 weeks) and design details before work begins. Payment is made via direct debit.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate commission work. The remaining balance is payable prior to delivery.

Once payment is finalised, delivery is arranged either by collection, courier, or post, depending on your location and preferences. Postage is additional to the cost of the jewellery and is quoted based on item size, value, and destination. Registered or Platinum Post options include tracking and are available nationally and internationally. Each item is packaged securely with care instructions and a receipt.

As each piece is individually made, we are unable to offer refunds for a change of mind. Exchanges may be considered within 7 days for unworn items in original condition. Deposits on commissioned works are non-refundable. Returns are only accepted in the case of proven defects.

Sidetrack guarantees the workmanship of our jewellery and will repair any fault arising from the making process or materials used, provided the piece has not been misused. We do not offer repairs on jewellery made by others. Wear-and-tear or accidental damage may be repaired at cost, subject to assessment.

We recommend that clients are sized in person by the jeweller making the ring. Sizes provided without in-person confirmation are not covered for complimentary resizing, and some styles cannot be resized at all. Temperature-related swelling can affect fit, so sizing should be approached with care and discussion.

Enamel is a fine layer of glass fused to metal and, while beautiful, is also fragile. Avoid impact or sudden temperature changes. Gloss enamel typically requires little maintenance. Matte surfaces are protected with beeswax, which may be reapplied occasionally with a soft cloth. Silver components should be cleaned gently using a professional silver cloth, avoiding harsh abrasives.
